My current work, post MFA, discards all the Clement Greenberg based rules that I had required myself to follow for forty years previously. This work celebrates the beauty and structure found in organic forms. It alludes to the Pattern and Decoration Movement, appreciating the feminine and decorative while playing with the abstracted geometry found in nature. I am calling attention to the vignettes I found in the isolation of the Pandemic while exploring my immediate New Jersey neighborhood. This work is executed in gouache on paper. Each piece is approximately 22X22 inches square. I am presenting the beauty I found in pinecones, dandelions, fallen leaves, and my neighbors' trees and flowers. I am illustrating my awareness of my immediate environment and its' precious and transient nature.
